Osraah – Family Food Delivery in the UAE
Built a dual-app, decentralized food delivery platform that empowers UAE-based home businesses by connecting families, customers, and freelance drivers within a single ecosystem.
The Problem
Home-based food vendors in the UAE struggled to reach a wider customer base and manage delivery logistics efficiently.
Customers had no easy way to discover local family kitchens nearby.
Freelance drivers lacked a streamlined system to join, accept tasks, and earn flexibly.
Everything was fragmented—resulting in friction, lost orders, and untapped potential.
The Solution
We created a two-sided mobile platform built on a decentralized delivery model where everyone—families, customers, and drivers—becomes a stakeholder:
Osraah App (User & Family Merchant):
A seamless experience for both customers and vendors, featuring a localized menu feed, vendor dashboards, and real-time order tracking.Osraah Driver App:
Built for freelance and merchant-affiliated drivers to claim delivery tasks on-demand and earn with flexibility.
Payment Gateway Integration

Integrated with a secure third-party payment gateway to enable direct, real-time transactions between users and vendors.
Every merchant benefits from auto-withdrawal sessions, typically every 6 hours, depending on order volume and preferences—ensuring fast, transparent cash flow.
Tech Stack (TBD)
Likely Flutter or React Native for cross-platform apps, Node.js backend, Firebase or Cloud Firestore for real-time sync, and Stripe or PayTabs for payments.
Modules Developed
Localized food discovery within a 25km radius
Family merchant onboarding and management
Real-time driver dispatch and order tracking
Direct payment and withdrawal system
Admin panel for platform operations
Marketing-ready landing page for growth and onboarding
Timeline
Week 1–2: Product scoping, user personas, wireframes
Week 3–4: Backend architecture, merchant-driver logic, payment APIs
Week 5–6: Mobile UI/UX build, location tracking, onboarding flows
Week 7: Testing across user roles, handling edge cases
Week 8+: Refinements, legal compliance, early access launch
We worked in weekly agile sprints with the founding team, keeping feedback cycles fast and execution lean.

The Result (Pre-launch Goals)
100+ home kitchens live within the first 3 months
5,000+ local users actively ordering
Delivery time under 35 minutes on average
Vendor payouts processed within 24 hours (or faster via auto-withdraw)
Lessons Learned
"Family-made" isn't just a category—it's a movement.
One of the founders said it best:
“We’re not just delivering meals—we’re delivering someone’s tradition, their hustle.”
This project was a strong reminder that technology should elevate communities, not replace them.
